What's good about work? We shall be looking at what you do day by day — and how you understand this as your ministry. Come and explore the work you do day-by-day in the company of colleagues with the same objectives, relate it to theological ideas and see what it says about good work — and ministry in secular employment. Newly refurbished and with en-suite facilities, Saint Columba's House in Woking is the venue for the Summer 2019 CHRISM conference. Saint Columba's House is an urban contemporary Christian retreat and conference centre just 30 minutes by train from the heart of London and a mile from the centre of Woking.
As always, our conference will include visits to places of work in the neighbourhood. Woking is a thriving centre which came into real existence with the coming of the railways. Nearby Guildford is the county's market town. It includes the Surrey Research Park, a major centre of excellence in technology, science, health and engineering which is widely regarded as the best science park of its kind in the UK.
