Surrey County Council Tree and Hedgerow Planting

Surrey County Council has planted over 832,000 trees as part of the Council’s 1.2 million Tree Strategy, one for every resident in Surrey!

Since 2020 charities and community groups, schools and churches have been helping to plant hedgerows, single trees, copses and community orchards on their land.

If you are interested in planting, the Tree Planting and Establishment Team can offer a site visit and consultation to assess viability of tree planting. No project is too big or too small so do get in touch if you would like further information.
