Remaining Faithful Regional Gathering Saturday 18 January 10am – 1pm
Hosted by St Andrews Methodist Church, Crawley Rd, Roffey, Horsham, West Sussex, RH5 4DX
The Remaining Faithful Network launched by Rev David Hull, Chair of MET (Methodist Evangelicals Together), in the summer of 2019 is a network of Methodists committed to remaining faithful to the original Wesleyan evangelical vision, and to the biblical and apostolic understanding of marriage as the life-long union of one man and one woman and the only appropriate context for sexual intimacy. The Regional Gathering being hosted at St Andrews, Horsham, (see poster), will enable Methodists in the local region to find fellowship, support and encouragement amongst those who share this commitment. The Remaining Faithful Network hope that the Regional Gatherings will encourage everyone to participate fully in the current Connexional consultation on the God In Love Unites Us Report, and provide the opportunity for people to come and seek the Lord together in order to gain a clear conviction about what He is saying to us in these days. The morning will include worship and prayer, with discussion facilitated by Derek Balsdon, MET Regional Development Officer, with input from Rev David Hull (video) and personal testimony from Sarah Sedgwick of Transformed Ministries.
Tea & coffee will be served on arrival. There is good rail access to St Andrews via train to Horsham, and it is about a 20 minute walk from Horsham station or 15 minutes from Littlehaven station. There are also regular buses from Horsham station to Roffey, as well as a taxi rank. Horsham is well situated for travel by car but please do car share. There is only very limited parking at the church so unless you have real need of a parking space please park on the Crawley Rd or in the surrounding streets. There is a pay car park behind the Co-op, which is situated on Fitzalan Rd opposite the church. The church has a stair lift enabling full access.
