Long Service Awards

Twelve Local Preachers from the Wey Valley Circuit were awarded long service preaching certificates, on Trinity Sunday, 11 June 2017, at a circuit service held at Godalming United Church, in the beautiful surroundings of the flower festival.

Awards ranged from 27-60 years: John Mitchell 60 years, George Hammond 50 years, Colin Wright 50 years, Robert Gill 40 years, Rabson Ziso 36 years, Janet Gardham 31 years, Philip Beastall 30 years, Jean Shepherd 30 years, Graham Pearcey 30 years Sandra Wright 29 years, Dereka Gadney 28 years and John Morton 27 years.

The service was led By Rev Allan Taylor and Rev Peter Hills presided at Holy Communion. The preacher, Rev Barrie Tabraham gave a powerful sermon based on Hymn 564, O Thou who camest from above. The preachers were thanked and congratulated by Rev Dr Claire Potter.
