Join us for our Circuit Mission Day on Saturday 6th October. The day runs from 10am (refreshments available from 9.30am) to 4pm. Please don't forget to bring your own lunch.
The day will be led by Adrain Roux. Adrian is an ordained presbyter working in the Discipleship and Ministries Learning Network in the Southern and Islands region. A 'son of the manse' he was ordained in 2003, prior to which he worked as a lay pastor, youth pastor and managed his own business.
As presbyter Adrian has ministered in the local church, as superintendent, and as district mission coordinator. He was involved in the formation of ministers at the MCSA's Seth Mokitimi Methodist Seminary, where he developed curricula and taught Biblical Studies and Theology. He has an MTh in Theology and Development (cum laude).
Adrian is passionate about mission, healing and growing the church, studying the gospels (particularly Mark) and the Pauline writings, and learning to follow Jesus more closely. Adrian has much, and diverse, experience in mission projects working with social welfare, establishing 'drop in' centres, a football club, and a shelter and school for street children. Much of his ministry has gravitated towards education and he has been involved in the formation of three schools for the underprivileged and served on the board of Epworth (an independent Methodist School in Pietermaritzburg).
Adrian is married to Stephanie and they have three children, Josie, Mark and Ethan
