The Welcome Service for Rev Sam Funnell will take place at Trinity Woking on Weds 2nd September at 7.30pm.
Numbers able to attend the service have been reduced because of the Covid-19 restrictions which remain in place, but none the less Sam will receive a warm welcome . She will have pastoral care for Trinity, Woking and is an Assistant Chair of the South East District with particular responsibility for the Western Area.
The service will be live-streamed on YouTube and will be able to be accessed via https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCsE8kb2QxNnmyrqqBbMQLNg/featured
We are grateful that the Rev Dr David Hinchliffe, Chair of the Methodist South East District will be presiding and preaching at this very special service and that as many guests as possible, given the current restrictions, will be there, representing other churches, other faiths and the civic work in this area. Amongst the expected civic guests are Cllr Beryl Hunwicks, Jonathan Lord MP and HM Lord-Lieutenant Michael More-Molyneux.
Sam joins us from the South Kent Circuit where she has spent the last nine years as Superintendent Minister. She is looking forward to a new chapter of her life and ministry here in Woking, meeting the existing congregation and welcoming new members.
