About this event
40.3 million people are in slavery worldwide (Global Slavery Index, 2018). Most of these are women and girls (71%). And the problem does not stop at the UK border.

Run in partnership by Southern and Islands Region with the Southampton District of the Methodist Church, this webinar will cover the basics that anyone involved in safeguarding, or who works with vulnerable adults or children and young people should know about modern-day slavery, including:

  • What it is and what are the signs
  • How to respond in the first instance
  • How to refer onwards
