We are looking for some new MASCOT Trustees to join the 6 current Trustees from St Paul's, Maybury and St Michael's, Sheerwater.
The Maybury and Sheerwater Community Trust is the community charity that St Paul's and St Michael's set up in 2011 to strengthen community in our part of Woking. We employ 2 part-time staff and host a wide range of activities including a drop in centre, free internet café, foodbank, signposting, hearing aid maintenance, seated dance, Let's talk, craft sessions and so much more.
In 2023, the Sheerwater project will be moving into the new St Michael's Community Hub, while the Maybury project remains at St Paul's. MASCOT has good financial support from WBC but in a post-covid landscape we will need to do more of our own fundraising. We are looking for people who have a heart for the community of Maybury and Sheerwater and would like to be involved in the governance and/or operations of this small charity.
