Godalming Community Gospel Choir is a community gospel choir based in Godalming. We sing a range of contemporary and traditional gospel music by UK and US artists under the musical direction of Hermione Thomas. We are celebrating our 10th anniversary this year!
GCGC is a true community choir, open to all. Our choir members are of all ages, from all backgrounds, both faith and non-faith. GCGC has won several awards at local music festivals and reached the national finals of the BBC Gospel Choir of the Year competition in 2015. We normally meet from 7.30pm – 9.30pm on Monday evenings, during term-time, at the Church of St Peter and St Paul, Church Street, Godalming. GCGC met on Zoom from March 2020 until May 2021, when we started rehearsing outside the Octagon at St Peter and St Paul's Church.
Our autumn term will commence on Monday 6 September when we will welcome new members at a free Taster Evening. Fees are £75 a term. To book your place at the Taster Evening, or to find out more, please email info@gcgc.org.uk
