The first Connexional Domestic Abuse Webinar is next Tuesday, 24th November, 10am to 11.30am. This event is open to all within the Methodist Church with a responsibility or interest in this area, which has become far more prevalent this year due to the current social restrictions in place.

The Domestic Abuse Webinar aims to promote awareness of domestic abuse and look at how as a church we can begin to tackle this and respond appropriately to victims/survivors.

We have put together a packed and diverse programme including an interview with the Domestic Abuse Commissioner, Nicole Jacobs.

Other speakers include
Mandy Marshall, Co-Founder and previous Co-Director of the domestic abuse charity Restored (now the Director for Gender Justice for the Anglican Communion)
Dr Lesley Orr, a Research Fellow at the Centre for Theology and Public Issues, University of Edinburgh
The Revd Helen Cameron, Chair of Northampton District
The Revd Dr Jonathan Hustler, Secretary of the Methodist Conference

There will be contributions from domestic abuse survivors.

The Vice-President and President of the Methodist Conference will open and close the proceedings.

Please do join us in our drive to highlight and address domestic abuse in the Methodist Church. We look forward to seeing you!
