The South East Methodist District is looking to appoint a DISTRICT PROPERTY OFFICER.
The successful applicant will need to work flexibly and collaboratively with lay and ordained colleagues locally, regionally, nationally and ecumenically.
The postholder will be expected to take a lead for the Methodist Church in the South-East District on issues relating to the online consents process, including property sharing agreements, when approved by the appropriate bodies (including the Connexional Ecumenical Officer and Trustees for Methodist Church Purposes) which need District Council approval. To offer support for churches in the development of property schemes and other projects needing District or Connexional grants.
It is an occupational requirement for the person to be a professing and practicing Christian (Equality Act 2010) and take an active and prayerful role in the ministry of the church across the District
Salary: £10,953 per annum equivalent to £16.98 per hour (plus authorised expenses).
Normal working hours: 12 hours per week including some evening and weekend working
Start date: January 2022, or nearest possible date
Work base: Home-based, with some travel required

The successful applicant will require a successful Enhanced DBS disclosure.
