Addlestone Methodist Church is a friendly church situated on the main street; Station Road. The church has served the community in Addlestone since 1899 and until recently hosted both the food bank and the toy library. It is a measure of the local demographic that both of these facilities have now moved to larger premises in the Addlestone church community.
In pre-Covid times visitors and new members were very welcome at the Sunday Service which took place at 10.30am. Refreshments were served after the service. Addlestone, jointly with Weybridge, is now sharing the hosting of a weekly Sunday virtual zoom service and we hold a bi-monthly mid-week 'Time for Prayer' evening meeting. We are considering opening our rear garden area for Saturday morning coffee.
Hopefully starting 16th May the church will be open once a month for Holy Communion Services. Opening for weekly services, Saturday morning prayer meetings and refreshments in the coffee lounge as soon as Covid-19 restrictions are further eased.
The Church hosts the uniformed organisations of Beavers, Cubs and Scouts.
Bear Hugs, a children's nursery which offers places to 2 — 4 year olds, meets in the church hall daily from 9.30 am — 3.30 pm. Most other hall users are expected to return shortly.
